Mrs. Audrain has worked in education for the past 8 years. She taught in a self-contained K-12 public school program for students with severe behavior and learning problems. This setting provided many challenges but many opportunities to implement research- based best practices for reading and writing acquisition.
For the last three years Mrs. Audrain held the position as a Special Education Process coordinator. She managed the entire SPED process including evaluations in three building including special programs. One of her duties was to evaluate the effectiveness of SPED instruction and to develop more successful intervention strategies. Mrs. Audrain was a major influence in bringing the Wilson Language program, Peer Assisted Learning System and Success for All reading programs into use in her former district. She was also the behavioral consultant for the middle schools.
Mrs. Audrains worked in Nursing for 20 years before entering the field of Education. She worked in a hospital setting for children with emotional problems, a high risk Maternity setting and did community education. Mrs. Audrain was also a school nurse working with medically fragile children.
Mrs. Audrain earned her B.S. in Nursing from Webster University
and her M.S.Ed. from the University of Central Missouri. Mrs. Audrain holds
five valid Professional Teaching Licenses 3 in the state of Missouri for emotional
disturbance (K-12), learning disabilities (K-12), and Special Reading (K-12)
and two in Virginia, emotional disabilities (K-12) and learning disabilities
(K-12).
