PARENT NEWS! Welcome, everyone, to the 2007-2008 school year! I am delighted to be with you this year. We are starting the year with 45 students and a remodeled facility. I have already toured 4 families that are interested in a placement for next fall. Our reputation continues to grow. We welcome seven new faculty members for the 2007-2008 school year. These men and women bring a set of skills and gifts to add to the experience, knowledge and professionalism of our current staff. We enter this new school year with an exceptional faculty whose commitment to excellence will continue to enhance the learning experiences of our students. If you haven't already, I invite you to get to know all of our faculty members over the next few weeks. Clubs have started that are tailored to our student’s interest and needs. We are currently offering Chess Club, Role Playing Game Club, Board Games and Backgammon Club, Guitar Club, Tutoring Club, Test Prep Club, Driver’s Education Club, Girl’s Club, and Friday Hand out. We will also be offering some of the same clubs as last year: Cooking Club, Astronomy Club, Debate Club, Basketball and Driver's Education. Club times are 3:00-4:30 p.m. Once again, I welcome you to Accotink Alternative. We look forward to all that the future has in store for each one of us.
