Clubs Information

Music Club
The Music Club explores the joy of listening to and playing music. Students learn how to play the guitar and truly appreciate musical expression.

Star Wars Club
Students create characters in the Star Wars universe and role play exciting adventures. This club offers a chance for students to interact in a creative and appropriate fashion in a highly social environment.

Sports Club
Sports Club includes a variety of team and individual sports (such as rock climbing, volleyball, racquetball, and bowling) that take place off campus. Emphasis is placed on good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Cooking Club
Cooking Club involves teaching students the fundamentals of preparing quick and easy meals. It focuses on good nutrition, use of kitchen appliances, kitchen cleanliness, and safe food preparation.

Chess Club
We welcome all players, regardless of experience, who want to play chess. We cover the basics, and have a nice variety of chess sets and chess timers. The social aspects of chess are stressed, and we often play outside of the school at local business and restaurants, and our students take on all challengers.

Driver's Education
During the school year, Accotink offers an after-school course in Driver's Education, taught by a certified teacher from an independent driving school and assisted by one of our special education teachers. Tests are administered orally when necessary and extra instruction is available. After satisfactorily completing the course, the students receive a certificate and are then ready to proceed to behind-the-wheel driving.
