Message from the Director
Welcome to the Accotink Learning Center School community!
As director at the Accotink Learning Center I am very excited to join a school with a product of proven success and collaboration amongst everyone associated with the program. Thanks to the wonderful commitment of the staff at Accotink a program has been developed that provides a small setting where educational programs are tailored to the needs of each student and a wonderful environment has been created that encourages students to think, learn, and grow.
The belief is that every child has unlimited potential and the goal is nothing short of providing an enriching school day that includes high quality instruction, therapeutic services, as well as vocational opportunities.
The goal is to ensure that each student develops the skills and knowledge they need for their post secondary plans. Our students are a diverse but our graduates attend four-year universities, two- year colleges or transition directly to the work force. Our staff spends valuable time getting to know the students' strengths, needs, and interests to better meet their individual academic and social needs.
The faculty, staff, and I offer our very best wishes for a successful 2012-2013 school year. It should be an exciting road.
