Mrs. Gaardsmoe
English Teacher

Mrs. Gaardsmoe received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rio Grande, Ohio in 1990. She majored in English and minored in Social Psychology. In 2003, Mrs. Gaardsmoe completed requirements for a Virginia Technology Certification. Currently, she is working toward attaing the Virginia Professional Collegiate Licensure at Old Dominion University.

Mrs. Gaardsmoe has been involved in teaching for the past 17 years. Before coming to Accotink Alternative, Mrs. Gaardsmoe was an ESL Instructor in Tokyo, Japan where she designed and implemented lessons that focused on Conversation, Reading, Listening, and Writing skills for ESL students at the University of Rio Grande Japan. Mrs. Gaardsmoe also spent four years at Manassas Park High School as a Special Education teacher in self-contained English classes. In August 2003, she joined the Accotink team as an English teacher.
