Ms. Shinohara
7th/8th Grade Teacher

Ms. Shinohara completed her undergraduate studies at Boston University, majoring in Elementary Education in 2001. She pursued a career as a teacher in a general education setting until 2003. The following school year, she was introduced to special education through teaching in an inclusive setting, working with students with and without special needs.

In 2005, Ms. Shinohara decided to pursue learning through a master's program (M.Ed - ED/LD) at George Mason University and through working with students with special needs. 2006 provided Ms. Shinohara with the opportunity to work with students, families and staff at AAALC. 2007-2008 is her second year at AAALC.
